How To Get Calm During Test Anxiety

If your child had problems with test anxiety in grade and high school, you need to be aware that they are going to have the same problem when they go to college. But remember that you can do a few simple things to reduce or eliminate test anxiety. There are ways to overcome test anxiety, but some never do. Those that do while in high school do so with the help of parents in many cases, and when the parents are no longer there day in and day out, the anxiety could come back and be a problem once again.If you have such a child going off to college, remind them that they can contact you whenever they need to, and that even though they are somewhat on their own now, that you are still there for them. They may find their old performance anxiety is coming back, and they may not be sure how to deal with it without you. While it is a great idea for them to learn to deal with test anxiety on their own, they should still be able to lean on you on occasion when things are just too much for them. High school is stressful, but college is something that most students realize will affect the rest of their lives. That can stress anyone out.
